4 Months!

Georgia Belle is 4 months old!
I took these photos on June 22nd when she turned four months but, I am just now getting around to posting this update... oops! Georgia is growing so fast and is such a smart little cookie! Grammy bought her a walker and she loves to sit in it and play! Her feet don't touch the floor yet, but i'm positive she'll love to cruise as soon as she can! She is such a smiley and happy baby, I feel so lucky! She did great at her 4 month check up, she is right on target and the Doc continues to be blown away with how strong she is! We get stopped constantly when we're out. Everyone just loves her, we had someone announce to the entire restaurant the other day to look at how beautiful she was! Here are her 4 month pictures, everyone says she looks like the Gerber baby!

3 Months!

This last month has been the most fun! Georgia is so smiley and giggly! She is so alert and I am really enjoying interacting with her! The doctor was shocked at how strong she is at her last check up! She loves to stand and bounce, with assistance of course. She has amazing neck control and loves looking around at her surroundings! In the last couple of days she has gotten so excited to kick her legs, I think she's going to love to dance! It is so cool that she is making eye contact and smiling/laughing back at me. We even watched a little Mickey Mouse this morning! I can't wait to take her to see the real Mickey! I just can't explain how much I love being her Mommy! Here are her 3 month photos I took this morning!

Bloom Where You're Planted

Tanner and I like to talk "life" over ice cream. That's what we did a couple of nights ago. We talked about the disappointment of not getting the house and what the possible reasons could have been that it didn't work out in this season. With new work opportunities on the horizon and a lot more financial freedom, we thought about what life would be like if we decided to stay in our apartment for one more year instead of buying a house right away. That's where a pros and cons list came in to play.

Buying a house would give us a yard. We'd have more room and it would be awesome to have something to call "ours". On the flip side, staying in our apartment would give us the freedom to do more and the ability to put money away and save. I also wouldn't complain about spending another year down the street from my mom.

"We could see so many new places and take lots of trips!"

If we stay in our apartment we would want to use this year as a "refreshment", or kind of a time of reinvention. Clear the clutter out of our apartment, SIMPLIFY. Make our patio a tiny oasis. Really make it a place we enjoy going home to. Mostly, we want to use this year to really soak in our time together and make tons of memories. We want to look back on this year and say, "remember the year we WENT and SAW? That was so much fun!" We want to use this year to bond with our little family and do all the things we might not be able to do as often, once we buy a house.

This isn't to say that if we did find the perfect house that we wouldn't buy it. If the right house came along and it was the most ideal situation, we would be open to it! But, we aren't going to buy a house just for the sake of buying one.

So! To wrap this up, we made a Bucket List! A list of things we want to do this year! We'll cross them off and document it all on here! We are excited for this next year of adventure and bonding! Our family motto this year will be "Bloom where you're planted". Which was clearly the inspiration for my art project above!

Happy Easter/2 Months!

This cute little bunny turned 2 months old on the 22nd, also my birthday! Anyways, I decided to combine her 2 month pictures with her Easter pictures that I took 2 days before. She woke up early Easter morning, sick. But the poor thing still let me dress her up and take pictures. She has grown so much this month! She is smiling, giggling, making tons of eye contact, and cutest of all, she now loves grabbing and holding her mousie all on her own! Loving our smiley baby!

Sleep.

I may miss sleep a little. Okay, a lot... But, special cuddles with this girl in the early mornings are irreplaceable.

Adventures according to my iPhone

Due to not wanting to lug around my big camera everywhere, a lot of my pictures are from my iPhone. Here's an update on our adventures, through the phone lens! We took Georgia on her first day trip to Bailey and got hot dogs at Coney Island, where Tanner and I had our first date. The picnic table that we carved our initials in wasn't there anymore, so we redid it and added a 'G'. I also started making Georgia headbands ands moccasins and opened an etsy shop to sell them, so that has been fun!

Growing...

1 Month!

I'm posting this a week late but, our baby girl is 1 month old! What the heck? Our parents were right all along, time goes by so fast! DON'T BLINK! Life has definitely changed! (for the better) Everyone is still adjusting, but we have our routine now and are pretty much in the swing of things! She started smiling this week, small smirks rather, that are intentional! Instead of just gas hehe! Can't wait for the big giggles to start! She still loves to grab a hold of fingers, it's her comfort go-to, I've noticed. Last night she was gripping her pacifier while sleeping instead of sucking on it, silly baby! Can't wait to look back on these and see how much she has learned!  Here are her 1 month pictures that I took a week ago.
